Eco Charger – Expanding at Weston

Jul 12, 2021

Eco Charger Quads Ltd, the UK’s leading developer and manufacturer of ‘all electric’ Quad bikes  moved to Weston Industrial Estate in 2018 having outgrown their original North Devon farm based, R & D and manufacturing facility.

The company has expanded rapidly in recent years, designing and producing  a range of 2WD and 4WD eATVs ( electric all terrain vehicles) that are now sold widely both in the UK and Europe as well increasingly globally through a network of dealerships.

Initially Eco Charger co- occupied a single unit with Aspire Engineering Ltd, who were contracted to support the vehicle assembly process and provide technical expertise. In January of this year, the company expanded its presence at Weston, occupying its own 210 m2 facility to form a multi-function stores, distribution, customisation and service centre for its entire UK and export operations.

General Manager, Jon Hourihan comments:

‘ The initial move to Weston immediately gave us access to  a first class manufacturing facility, good storage capacity and of course the logistical advantages of access to UK wide road/sea/air transport links. Building on these benefits, our newly expanded facility has become the basis for our continued growth. We now not only have greater manufacturing capacity together with ample warehousing and parts storage but space to centralise our Vehicle Maintenance and Customer Support Services as well as the room to create a Showroom and Demonstration area. Being part of the Weston Estate has worked for us in any number of ways.’
